The 3rd Annual Centre Grey Hospital
3rd Annual Hospital Golf Tournament
for the Centre Grey Hospital – Markdale
Our 3 rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of the Markdale Hospital is in the books! We couldn’t have asked for a better day! The event was sold out, the weather was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and everyone was pumped for a great day on the links. Highland Glen Golf Course has never looked better and was the perfect host.
Our Silent Auction had some unique items up for grabs and the bidding was fierce! Two triple ski lift chairs from the former Talisman Resort, sports
memorabilia, a private tour of Sleeman Brewery or Distillery, (hosted by the founder himself), an “Experience Thornbury” package, and a family weekend pass
for Beaver Valley Ski Club were just a few of the items on offer. We’re still tallying up the totals, but we’re confident we’ll surpass our 2019
donation and reach this year’s goal of $35,000. We’ll keep you posted!
All of the funds raised are going to help the operation and funding for Centre Grey Hospital in Markdale. We are grateful that we are able to run the Golf Tournament again this year to be able to raise money for this wonderful charity.
The Centre Grey Health Services Foundation helps numerous people throughout the area providing services such as 24-hour emergency care, acute hospital care, palliative care, endoscopic procedures, diagnostic imaging, physiotherapy, and laboratory services. The government provides less and less funding for the equipment, furniture and technology in our hospitals and as such, the CGHSF relies on donations from the community to raise $500,000 each year to ensure the hospital has what it needs to function efficiently. It is the generosity of our community that provides the tools to our doctors, nurses and technicians allowing them to provide superior health care when it is needed most. We cannot do this without your help. The support you give today will provide quality health care close to home for you, and your family for generations to come. Every donation has the potential to save a life.
