Blumination: Celebrating the Holiday Through Lights

One of the best parts about spending the holidays in Grey County is all of the great holiday events. From Santa Claus parades to Christmas tree lightings, there are so many ways to enjoy the small town cheer. A new event to look forward to this holiday season is Blumination at Blue Mountain Resort.

Starting December 1st, Blue Mountain Village is being turned into a winter wonderland with tons of activities for the whole family. The Blumination Dream Trail is a one kilometre path that takes you on a magical walk through the Blue Mountain Village illuminated by tons of interactive and whimsical holiday light installations. Don’t miss this FREE light trail every day from 5-10pm.

To make your experience even better, finish off the trail with the amazing Illuminated Dream Light Show in the Events Plaza at 7pm and 9pm. For an extra special treat, check out the Fireworks happening on Saturdays at 8pm over the Mill Pond (weather permitting).

You can make an entire day out of it too! There are also horse drawn wagon rides, visits with Santa and Maple Taffy on snow every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm. PLUS, while the kids enjoy the festive cheer, you can get your holiday shopping done at all of the unique Blue Mountain Village shops.

Blumination at the Blue Mountain Village is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit. Seeing the lights would be the perfect way to end a day after being on the ski hills or would be a great night activity for families and friends.
