March Break will be here before we know it. Opting for a ‘staycation’ this year? There’s a lot to do right here in Grey County! In addition to the usual winter activities – skiing, skating & snowman making, here are some other ideas for March Break fun with the kids.

The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library is holding a series of March Break events all week. From science, art, or writing sessions to Cricut crafting and Lego Club, kids of all ages will find something new to love. Registration is required for some, others are drop-ins. March Break Creative Arts Day Camp is a 5-day event hosted by the Georgian Bay School of the Arts at their location in Owen Sound. Kids 8-13 can explore their creative side as they learn various art forms. Lunch is included. https://gbartscentre.thundertix.com/events/207886
The Canadian Raptor Conservancy presents Raptors: Birds of Prey courtesy of the Grey Highlands Public Library. This all-ages event will be held upstairs at the Markdale Recreation Complex on Tuesday, March 14 at 10:00. Pay by donation to the library, at the door.
Kids 11+ are welcome to visit the Grey Highlands Public Library for Drop-in Video Games. Sessions run from 1:30-3:30 at the Markdale Branch on Tuesday, March 14, and at the Flesherton Branch on Friday, March 17.
On Thursday, March 16 from 6:30-8 pm, head to the Grey Highlands Public Library – Markdale Branch for Pizza & Lip Balm, where you’ll learn to make your own lip balm with Katrina from the Eco-Refillary. Open to ages 11+, registration is required.
