Beautiful McGowan falls is located in the Durham conservation area within a scenic tree lined area. The falls are a perfect spot to view any season because of the easy parking lot accessibility. During the summer the spot is favoured for swimming and using as a wading pool. McGowan Falls is named after an an early miller who used the water power of the Saugeen River from these falls. The falls can be viewed from above on the bridge that leads deeper into the Durham conservation area. There is a parking lot, nearby businesses within walking distance and picnic benches on site. The falls are located on George Street East, Durham, Ontario.
