Overview
We had the pleasure of interviewing Keith Barkhouse at his new business, Barkhouse Pet. Keith has newly located to Eugenia after living and working in many cities throughout Canada. A few places Keith has lived include Hamilton, London, and most recently Halifax. Keith was lucky to gain plenty of experience at different pet stores in these different locations to build his own company. He also has earned his certificate of Pet Food Nutrition. Keith made the move to Eugenia to follow his passion of caring for pets and build his own business.
Only the Best Products
Keith has years of experience with pets and with that comes a wealth of knowledge, from animal tendencies to their dietary needs and is very passionate about animals being fed and treated properly. At his business, he only acquires the best of food for our furry friends, from kibble to raw. Luckily he also covers price ranges across the board. He is animal and people conscious in that way. He carries products for dogs, cats, fish and birds. He is currently looking to expand into options for reptiles as well. Offering a wide variety for a small local shop, and if you don’t see it on his shelf he can order it in for you. He has many connections to different specialty vendors throughout Ontario. Along with bringing in more selection of product he hopes to look into hiring a few new team members in the future.
About the Owner
Not only does Keith know tons about pets, he has a family of pets of his own, with two dogs, four cats, two chinchillas, hamsters and many fish! We think all of these pets must have a fantastic life with Keith and his great products for them. He believes in giving all animals the best life, with all of his cats being rescues. Along with being passionate about animals, he is passionate about living in Eugenia and being a part of the community. Keith told us that he is very happy to have chosen Eugenia as his new home, and believes that Barkhouse Pet is in the perfect location for its customers. We are happy Keith has come to the area too!
